Kapa Haka Festival
Kapa Haka Festival
Do you know what the kapa haka festival is? well Only Gisborne does it. Wainui beach school (my school) does it. Room one is my class and we do kapa haka to. Every year in term four we do a kapa haka festival and we practice from the start of the year until it happens.
Kapa haka is a time where Gisborne schools pa forms in front of each other. We sing molde songs and do molde actions and the poi we all walk off and on the stage together it makes it look better. We sing five things including the haka. I liked kapa haka because I learnt something new.
Do you do kapa haka? well if you do have a good time and
THANK YOU!!!
Butterfly Art
Butterfly Art
Koka Brodie (She is going to work at our school next year) Shared the butterfly art she had done in her class in Auckland. We had just been to the Monarch show. She did some butterfly art with us. First we had to do two drafts and after the two drafts we started the real thing. The next day we continued on our butterfly art when I had drawn my butterfly in pencil started to pastel my work. The color of the big dot's were red, orange and yellow the colour of the little spots were white and the outside of the big and little dot's is black.
Then I took my art to the teacher and it was exceptional the teacher was going to put it on the wall but I wanted it as my calendar art instead of the fish picture I drew. So I put it in the pille of calendar art and it went to Margo (our office manger.)
